Overview

The Unit Rate Pricing module in Metre2 gives you complete control over how individual items are built up and costed. Whether you're working with net rates, resource-based build-ups, or applying adjustments across multiple sections, this module provides a clear and flexible environment for defining, reviewing, and refining unit prices. Designed for speed and accuracy, it supports detailed breakdowns while remaining simple enough for quick updates—helping you price with confidence and consistency across your estimates.

Introducing Resource Pricing

The quickest way to price an item in Metre2 is by entering a rate directly into the net rate cell. This calculates the total by multiplying quantity and rate. For more detail, you can build up the rate using resources like labour or materials. For example, 2 hours of labour at £45/hour gives £90. Material quantities can be calculated with waste factors and unit rates, such as bricks priced per thousand.

Resources can be:

  • Created manually
  • Pulled from a resource library
  • Reused from previous jobs
You can also import full build-ups or individual rates from past estimates. Sakura allows you to reuse and customise any part of a previous estimate, making rate build-ups fast, flexible, and consistent.
